Microsoft Outlook Express » Icon Questions
I don't see icons with Outlook Express
What to do if you don't see icons with Outlook Express:
- Make sure Outlook Express has been closed and restarted.
- Send yourself a test message by sending an email to email@test.iconix.com
- You will receive an email reply that should have a check-lock icon.
- If you do not see an icon next to the test message, please read and follow the instructions below.
Outlook Express can be configured to POP mail from just about any Internet Service Provider that provides POP mail service. In some cases, email headers get modified in transit and as a result you will not always see icons next to messages that normally would receive an icon.
We want to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Here is how you can help:
- Copy the detailed header information in the Message body. To do that, perform the following:
- Right click the test message from Iconix
- Click Properties
- Click the Details tab
- Highlight all of the Internet Details header and copy the information (CTL+C).
- Go to the header submission form here and paste the information you collected above
- Once we have this information, we will research it and hopefully be able to resolve the issue fairly quickly
NOTE: Your header will most likely include personal information like your email address, we DO NOT need that, so you can just change your name or email address to something like <email replacement>.
Below is an example of what a message header might look like:
