Systems Administrator
As a Systems Administrator, you will be part of both the Iconix IT and Operations teams. You will assist in the day to day management, upgrades and migrations of the Windows and Linux systems and related services. You will assist in the management of the Iconix hosted service and participate in releases. You will work closely with the Engineering team and provide IT support as required to the company as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all production and development servers and identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues (24x7 for production servers)
- Assist in the setup, installation and maintenance of desktop, development, production Windows environments including hardware and 3rd party commercial and/or open Source software.
- Manage network and server backups
- Assist in user access management (LAN account setups, Email, VPN)
- Willingness to wear many hats: i.e. working on both Windows and Linux Servers as well as periodically providing desktop assistance
- On-call (rotating) and outside of normal business hours including occasional late night, early morning or weekend and/or holidays.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience administering Windows and Linux servers
- Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows XP, Server 2003)
- Experience with Linux/RedHat operating system
- Experience with Windows Networks, AD, Exchange, Sharepoint, DNS, SMTP, DHCP
- Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP)
- Knowledge of Apache and IIS web servers
- Diligent in documenting system changes, upgrades, etc.
Preferred Skills
- BS/BA in CS or experience in related field
- Scripting experience (Shell, PHP, Perl, Windows)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing
