Web Applications Software Engineer

As a Web Applications Software Engineer you will have responsibility for designing software and drafting technical documents as well as performing analyses and making recommendations that affect critical technical initiatives for customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a suite of existing applications by implementing new features and fixing critical bugs
• Collaborating with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and process enhancements

Requirements

• 3+ years experience developing web-based applications
• Knowledge of HTTP, HTML, XML, SOAP, PHP and JavaScript
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Perl, or Python
• Knowledge of MySQL and relational database structures
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments

Preferred Skills

• BS or BA in Computer science or related field
• Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail
• Superb self-management skills
• Aptitude for documentation, innovation and process improvement
• Strong oral and written communication skills
