Lead QA Engineer

As Lead QA Engineer you will design test plans, review functional specifications and present test cases for project team review. You will work closely with development engineers and project managers to execute test plans, report bugs, and track defects.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to develop home-grown automated tests as well as script QA tools which will assist in the manual test process
• Fully understand the internal and external software processes
• Submit and regress bugs (mostly blackbox)
• Work closely with other QA, Project Managers, end users, and development teams (local and remote) during the development test, and launch phases of the software development and release cycle
• Review functional and design specifications and develop test strategies
• Exercise flexibility and the ability to multi-task in a high stress environment

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in testing requirements and test plan design for applications in MS Windows/LINUX environments
• Experience with Load Testing theories and methodologies
• Scripting (CGI, PERL, PHP, Shell) knowledge
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with XML basic principles

Preferred Skills

• BS/BA in CS or experience in related field
• Experience with load test and analysis tools
• Project experience with Apache application servers
• Project experience with MS Windows clients
• Working knowledge client/server computing architecture
